Best Cross-Border recognises a Baltic brand that has successfully expanded into new international markets.

The Best Cross-Border award is one of 10 categories in the first-ever EcomExpo E-Commerce Awards — the Baltic region’s e-commerce awards, judged by an independent jury and announced live on 1 October 2026 in Vilnius. Here is what it rewards, what a strong entry shows, and how to enter.

What the Best Cross-Border award rewards

It rewards real market entry and growth abroad — the localisation, logistics and demand generation that actually worked in an unfamiliar market.

What a strong entry shows

Every entry is scored on the same 100-point rubric — goals & budget, target audience & strategy, creativity & innovation, execution, and results & impact (weighted highest). For Best Cross-Border, the jury looks for:

  • The markets you entered, and why
  • Revenue and share from new markets, with a timeline
  • Localisation — language, payments, fulfilment, compliance
  • How you built demand in an unfamiliar market
  • What you would do differently next time

Growth in a new market, after costs

Evidence to look for: Break out sales, repeat orders and contribution margin by country. State currency treatment, launch dates and local acquisition, fulfilment and returns costs.

What needs context: Separate new-market growth from exchange-rate movements and existing-country sales. Explain translation, payments and delivery constraints.

Illustrative example — not an actual entrant: A market with €100,000 revenue and €70,000 variable costs contributes €30,000 before fixed costs. Revenue alone would hide an unprofitable expansion.

Who should enter

Baltic brands that took a product into new countries and grew there.
