The 20 Best AI SEO, GEO & AEO Agencies in Europe

Ninety agencies screened, twenty ranked. Who actually has the tooling, the retail case studies and the awards to get your brand cited in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Mode — country by country.

Roughly 159 million people in the EU now use ChatGPT search every month, according to OpenAI's own filing under the Digital Services Act. Adobe's UK data shows generative-AI traffic to retail sites up 180% year on year. Bitkom found that 35% of German AI users already turn to it with shopping questions. And yet, when we went looking for a credible, Europe-wide answer to the question every e-commerce team is now asking — which agency should handle our AI visibility? — we found nothing we could trust. Every "best GEO agencies" list on the continent is written by an agency that ranks itself first. So we built one ourselves: six research streams, roughly 550 searches, about ninety agencies screened, twenty ranked, thirty more sorted by region.

GEO, AEO, AI SEO — one minute of vocabulary

The labels are new, unstandardised and used interchangeably by vendors, so here is the working taxonomy this article uses. AI SEO is the umbrella. AEO (answer engine optimization) targets direct answers — featured snippets, People Also Ask, voice results, Google AI Overviews — with question-led, extractable content. GEO (generative engine optimization) targets citations and brand mentions inside AI-generated answers on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot and Google AI Mode; the term comes from a 2023 research paper by Aggarwal et al. that found adding citations, quotations and statistics lifted visibility in generative answers by up to 40%. LLMO is a near-synonym focused on what the models "know" about a brand. In Germany you will also see GAIO and KI-SEO; in France référencement IA; in Latvia even RAO. Google's own position, for what it is worth, is that all of it is still SEO.

Almost no European agency sells AEO and GEO separately. What differs is proof: who can show a prompt set, a tracker, a retail case and a price.

How we ranked — and a disclosure

Five filters. One: a named, live GEO / AEO / AI-visibility service page, not a paragraph bolted onto an SEO page. Two: verifiable proof — proprietary tooling or a documented measurement stack, published research or data, third-party awards (European Search Awards, Global Search Awards, Semrush AI Visibility Awards), named retail clients or numeric case studies. Three: European headquarters. Four: regional spread, so a reader in Lisbon, Warsaw or Helsinki finds an option, not just a London shortlist. Five: transparency — published pricing or methodology earned points, because it is rare. Where a number is an agency's own claim we say so. This ranking is editorial, not measured; nobody paid to be here.

Disclosure: EcomExpo is organised by APG Media, which appears at number two. We have limited that entry to what is verifiable on its public pages, and we would encourage you to apply the same "show me the tracker and the price" test to it as to everyone else.

The top 20

01 Eskimoz — Paris; Lyon, Bordeaux, Lille, Düsseldorf, Milan, Madrid, London

No agency in Europe has productised GEO as thoroughly as Eskimoz. Founded in 2010 by Andréa Bensaid and now around 250 people across five countries, it runs five in-house tools built for the AI era: LLM Ranking (brand presence in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini measured on standardised prompt sets), Scribe (AI-ready content), Crawlr (AI-bot accessibility), Notorious (off-site authority) and Search Agent (40-plus AI agents that analyse generative queries). The method is a five-phase loop — key-prompt analysis, GEO and competitive audit, strategy, deployment, continuous monitoring — and the client wall reads Maje, L'Oréal, Lindt, GHD, Cofidis, Crédit Agricole. It won Best Large Integrated Search Agency at the European Search Awards 2026, and it turned up in more independent European lists than any other agency outside the UK.

Best for: multi-market brands that want one GEO partner across French, German, Italian, Spanish and English. Pricing: not published; third-party estimates start above €1,000–4,000 per month and the focus is mid-size to large accounts.

02 APG Media — Vilnius, Lithuania

APG Media is a Google Premier Partner performance agency that describes itself, in Lithuanian, as "a digital marketing agency with AI muscle" and has worked with 200-plus brands, from Go3 and Ermitažas to Thomas Philipps, LinenTales and Nostra. What earns it a place this high is something almost nobody else on this list does: it publishes its GEO offer in full. The entry tier, GEO Startas, starts at €900 per month on a three-month minimum and covers one topical cluster — an AI-visibility audit, a prompt and question map, entity set-up (NAP, sameAs, Organization schema), answer-ready content with FAQ schema, and a monthly visibility report. GEO Augimas scales to two to four clusters and adds digital PR, technical GEO (AI-crawler access, llms.txt) and competitor AI-visibility tracking; GEO Enterprise covers five-plus clusters or multi-market work with weekly monitoring and quarterly strategy reviews. AEO is bundled into every package rather than sold separately — the agency's own framing is that "the AEO unit is one question and one page; the GEO unit is a topical cluster and a brand." The six-step method (visibility baseline, technical audit, entity audit, content-gap map, implementation, measurement) sits on top of an unusually strong measurement practice — GA4 configuration and server-side tracking are separate service lines — which matters when the whole point is proving that AI-referred sessions convert. Work is delivered in Lithuanian and English (apg.agency), and the team also organises EcomExpo 2026 and the Baltic e-commerce awards.

Best for: Baltic, Nordic-facing and cross-border e-commerce brands that want SEO, GEO and paid media under one roof at mid-market budgets. Pricing: GEO from €900/month (published). Disclosure: APG Media organises EcomExpo.

03 Brainlabs — London-founded, global

Brainlabs sells "AI Visibility" to enterprises and backs it with a proprietary stack — the Digital Signals Analyzer (Cortex AI), NeuroGen for on-site element generation, AmplifAI as a digital-PR agent, BrainBriefs for hub-and-spoke content — plus a 90-day roadmap and measurement across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Mode. Its Microsoft GitHub programme (traffic to marketing pages up 400% year on year, 29% LLM visibility, category leader) took first place at the Semrush AI Visibility Awards 2025. Mars Petcare, Capital One, IWG and VF Corporation are on the roster; ISO 27001 and 27701 for the procurement team. The claim it repeats — that 85% of brand mentions originate on third-party pages — is consistent with what German and UK studies found this year and explains why its GEO leans so hard on PR.

Best for: enterprise brands with global catalogues and procurement requirements. Pricing: not published.

04 Peak Ace — Berlin; Paris, Nantes

Part of the Heroiks group, Peak Ace (founded 2007, 130-plus people, native-level work in 25-plus languages) is the most-awarded search agency in the German-speaking market and one of the few that names its whole GEO stack: Peec AI as the primary tracker, with Profound, Rankscale, Ahrefs, Semrush and Sistrix alongside, and a free GA4 LLM-traffic dashboard for anyone. Its five-lever playbook — entity profiles, earned media over owned ("82% of citations come from earned media" is its house statistic), multi-source-friendly content, cross-platform presence, fortnightly citation tracking — is digital-PR-led by design. The published e-commerce case is modest but honest: a premium coffee-machine retailer cited in six of twenty Perplexity queries and four of twenty ChatGPT queries within ten weeks. Clients include Airbnb, AutoScout24, TUI, Betzold and Sage.

Best for: multilingual retailers with a digital-PR budget. Pricing: not published.

05 Claneo — Berlin

Claneo literally wrote the book: its founders co-authored the first German-language GEO textbook (Rheinwerk, March 2026), it runs GEO KNOW HOW, the first German-language GEO conference (second edition on 1 October 2026 — the same day as EcomExpo, if you have to choose), and its State of Search 2025 study of 2,000 Germans found a third already use AI chatbots for search. Founded 2017, 80-plus specialists, ten-plus languages. It also came first in the only German LLM-visibility test of GEO agencies we found (run monthly by HECHT INS GEFECHT across six engines — which, note, ranks itself too). Retail names include Bike24, HelloFresh, Henkel and Zattoo.

Best for: DACH brands that want research-led GEO and a team that trains yours. Pricing: not published.

06 Found — London; New York

Found built its own platform, Luminr, to watch "the entire searchable web" — Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude, but also TikTok, Amazon and TripAdvisor — and wraps it in a trademarked Everysearch™ methodology that combines technical work, digital PR, entity optimisation and social intelligence. Its GEO scope is explicit: citation analysis, entity optimisation, schema, "citable resource creation", LLM performance tracking, stakeholder education. The client list is unusually retail-heavy for the UK — Toolstation, PUMA, TOMS, Peacocks, Bonmarché, Secret Sales — and it holds Google Premier Partner 2026, Meta and Microsoft partner status.

Best for: UK retailers that want AI visibility and marketplace/social search tracked together. Pricing: not published.

07 s360 — Aarhus, Denmark; eight countries

The Nordic heavyweight. s360 (founded 2011, 330-plus specialists and engineers) built the s360 LLM Tracker, which runs thousands of weekly prompts derived from search-volume data and reports visibility percentage, share of voice, sentiment and a source-citation map — which Reddit threads, affiliates and news sites the models are actually reading — alongside content-gap analysis. Sitting next to it is Quantum, its feed-optimisation engine, which is why the retail roster is what it is: JYSK across 29 markets, Sephora, POWER, VidaXL, Skoringen, Wolt.

Best for: large Nordic and pan-European retailers that want product feeds and AI visibility handled by the same engineers. Pricing: not published.

08 The SEO Works — Sheffield; London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham

The SEO Works is one of the few agencies that runs AEO and GEO as distinct service lines, with a nine-step AEO method (question research, Q&A formatting, FAQ/Article/HowTo schema, trust building, voice, refresh, measurement) and a free LLM audit as the door-opener. It also publishes numbers: a premium coffee e-commerce brand up 78% in sales from AI sources and +900% year on year in AI-attributed product sales; DHL up 121% in LLM referral traffic; its own AI referrals up twenty-fold. It appeared in seven independent lists during our research — more than any other European agency.

Best for: mid-market UK e-commerce that wants a measured, staged programme. Pricing: not published.

09 Follo — Dongen, Netherlands; Ghent, Groningen, Utrecht

Formerly OrangeValley, Follo runs its GEO on the FolloEngine AI stack — brand presence across LLMs, AI Overview keyword impact and, crucially, AI-driven revenue rather than just mentions. Its Decathlon programme rebuilt the retailer's international SEO architecture so that filtered listing pages could be interpreted by LLMs and scaled across Europe; that work took gold for Best European SEO Campaign and Best Use of Data at the Global Search Awards 2025 (four golds in total, including Best Use of AI Content with HG), followed by silver in both AI-search categories at the European Search Awards 2026 for CROP/Nonpaints.

Best for: catalogue-heavy retailers in Benelux and beyond that need architecture, not just content. Pricing: not published.

10 Impression — Nottingham; London, Manchester, New York

A B Corp founded in 2012 with 120-plus staff, Impression frames GEO in four pillars — brand building through PR and links, AI-ready content with E-E-A-T, technical GEO (crawlability, rendering, semantic HTML, Core Web Vitals) and LLM visibility reporting on citations, mentions, sentiment and referrals — supported by its RALTS content-optimisation tool and custom LLM session testers. The published case is concrete: Tensar with 1,793 AI Overview citations, 47,604 organic clicks and 7.9 million impressions on AIO keywords. Topps Tiles, Clarins, Specsavers and Wizz Air are clients; it was Independent Agency of the Year 2026.

Best for: retailers whose AI-visibility problem is partly technical. Pricing: not published.

11 Boundless Digital — Netherlands

Boundless Digital is the smallest name near the top of this list and the one with the loudest 2026 trophy cabinet. Its Suitsupply programme — 221% growth across 36 markets, out-visible against Hugo Boss, Zegna and Loro Piana in ChatGPT, and reported in sales rather than mentions — won Best AI Search Optimisation Campaign, Best Use of AI in Search, Best Use of Data and Best Use of Search Fashion at the European Search Awards 2026, on top of a Global Search Award in 2025. The engine behind it is Cabyn, a proprietary platform of 25-plus AI agents for brand-safe, multi-market content. Public information beyond the awards is thin (the site blocks crawlers, which is at least on-brand), so ask for the deck.

Best for: fashion and multi-market DTC brands that want revenue-measured GEO. Pricing: not published.

12 Aufgesang — Hannover

Founded in 1998 and still owner-managed with 45–50 people, Aufgesang punches far above its size because of Olaf Kopp, arguably the most-cited German-language voice on GEO (Search Engine Land, OMR, heise). Its concepts — Digital Authority Management, LLM-Readability Optimization, Brand-Context Optimization — treat GEO as SEO plus online PR plus branding, and it has been selling the service since 2023. Retail clients include Rossmann, Tamaris and Bloom & Wild. It is also transparent about the entry point: a minimum budget of €1,000 net per month on a six-month term.

Best for: DACH mid-market brands that want theory-heavy GEO with a clear entry price. Pricing: from €1,000/month (published minimum).

13 Fattoretto Agency — Venice; Milan

Fattoretto is the only agency in the top twenty that works exclusively on e-commerce (Magento, Shopify, PrestaShop, WooCommerce). Founded 2013, it launched FattoRadar in May 2026 — a GEO content platform that blends Search Console, Reddit, TikTok and YouTube signals, reviews and competitor intelligence, with three AI-agent teams producing E-E-A-T articles, FAQs and competitive briefs — alongside FattoBoost predictive SEO and an AI Overview Accelerator. Decathlon, idealo, Clio Makeup, Loacker, Lago and Harmont & Blaine are on the client list; it has made the FT1000 two years running.

Best for: Italian and Southern-European shops on mainstream platforms. Pricing: not published.

14 Elevam — Reus, Spain

Elevam topped the only agency ranking in Europe we found that measured anything: MarketingDirecto's March 2026 Spanish GEO ranking ran fifteen prompts across four LLMs and scored Elevam first at 86/100. Its HSA Protocol (Human · Search · AI) is backed by a quarterly published "Prompts × Models" baseline — 71.1% citation rate and 62.2% brand-mention rate across its portfolio in Q2 2026 — and by clients such as Decathlon, Vinted, Cartier, PwC and Volkswagen. The lean is B2B, but the discipline of publishing baselines is exactly what most of the market lacks.

Best for: Spanish-language markets and brands that want measurement they can audit. Pricing: not published.

15 Jellyfish — London / Reigate; global (Brandtech Group)

Jellyfish (2,000-plus staff, 38 offices) launched Share of Model™ in December 2024, the first platform to track how ChatGPT, Gemini and Llama perceive brands and products, with Danone and Pernod Ricard's Chivas Brothers as beta clients. Its consumer research is the kind that ends up in board decks — 66% of 18–24-year-olds ask AI for brand or product recommendations — and it is the natural choice if you already buy media through a global holding structure. Less proof, publicly, of hands-on retail GEO delivery than the agencies above it.

Best for: global enterprise brands. Pricing: not published.

16 Whites — Warsaw

On 27 May 2026 Whites did something no other agency on this list has: it closed its SEO department and opened a GEO department, with a named Head of GEO (Magda Rozmus). Its White Dog machine-learning tool scores 200-plus success factors for Google, AI Overviews and AI Mode; the method runs from workshop through contextual research to quarterly reviews. Clients include Allegro, Henkel, Tefal, DocPlanner and Medicover, and its self-reported cases (Cetaphil.pl organic traffic up 726% year on year) are among the more aggressive numbers in Poland — a market that Polish trade press describes as "extremely young" for GEO.

Best for: Poland and CEE brands that want an all-in GEO partner. Pricing: not published.

17 Wolfgang Digital — Dublin

Ireland's most-awarded search agency — founded 2007, around 70 people, and since 2024 partly owned by its staff through an Employee Ownership Trust — Wolfgang Digital sells GEO as an "AI Search Optimisation" layer on its SEO practice: AI-readiness audits (GPTBot access), bot-traffic analysis, fact-checking and knowledge hubs, persona-based tuning and entity/data-structure work for AI Overviews and ChatGPT. The retail credentials are real — Brown Thomas, Woodie's, Intersport Elverys, Optimum Nutrition, OtterBox — and it took seven Global Search Awards in 2025 including Best Use of Search Retail/Ecommerce, plus Large SEO Agency of the Year at the European Search Awards 2025. No proprietary tracker, no published GEO case yet.

Best for: Irish and UK retailers that want GEO from a proven SEO shop. Pricing: not published.

18 Hallam — Nottingham; London

Hallam won Best LLM adoption by an agency at the European Search Awards 2026, and its toolkit shows why: a Share of LLM framework that tracks citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and AI Overviews down to verbatim text, a Citation Optimisation Framework built on prompt reverse-engineering and entity architecture, and Rocky, an in-house AI audit tool. It is a B Corp and a Google Premier Partner. The caveat for this audience: the client base skews B2B (Lattice, Pendo, Holcim, Hitachi Solutions), so ask for retail references.

Best for: considered-purchase and B2B-adjacent e-commerce. Pricing: not published.

19 iO — Belgium, Netherlands; Sweden

Enterprise agency iO built the iO Bonzai GEO Tracker (weekly branded and unbranded prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot) and wires it to BigQuery for attribution of AI-sourced conversions. It is also one of the few agencies publishing market data from its own book: LLM traffic up 182% across 1,400-plus Benelux client sites in the first half of 2025, ChatGPT accounting for 85% of it, organic down 7.8%. Suzuki, Audi.be and De Heus are named cases.

Best for: enterprise Benelux brands with a data team to plug into. Pricing: not published.

20 Netpeak — Kyiv, Kharkiv; London, Sofia, Wilmington

Netpeak (founded 2006, 80-plus SEO experts, 2,100-plus SEO projects) runs a six-stage GEO programme — AI-landscape analysis, strategy, technical (bot access, structured data, llms.txt), content and external presence on Reddit, Quora and media, scaling, and GA4/Looker Studio AI-traffic dashboards — and it is candid about outcomes: a German engineering e-commerce client draws 2.3% of organic traffic from AI at a 5% conversion rate. Rozetka, OLX, Intertop, EVA and PUMA are on the client list. If your growth markets are Ukraine, Bulgaria or English-language cross-border, this is the CEE option with the most scale behind it.

Best for: CEE and cross-border e-commerce at scale. Pricing: individual quotes.

Thirty more, sorted by region

These did not make the top twenty on proof or scale, but each is a credible shortlist name in its own market — and several publish prices, which the big names do not.

Estonia has no agency yet with verifiable GEO proof.
  • Central & Eastern Europe: Widoczni (Poznań, 170-plus staff; publishes AI-visibility reports on Polish beauty e-retailers — Notino 90/100 — and PLN 7,850–9,800/month pricing); Sempire (Poznań; part of the Shoper group); eVisions (Prague; AI share-of-voice measurement; Notino, Douglas, Mall.cz); SEOPRAKTICKY (Brno; base fee 38,000 CZK); Upswing (Bucharest; co-creators of SEOmonitor; Douglas, OLX, Sabon); Promodo (Ukraine/UK; Columbia +392% organic traffic); and, as a signal of where the market is going, Deloitte Poland now sells GEO consulting.

Europe's GEO tool stack

Two of the three tools that keep appearing in these agencies' stacks are European. Peec AI (Berlin, founded early 2025) raised a $21 million Series A in November 2025 and reportedly passed $10 million in annual recurring revenue within sixteen months; Peak Ace, Suchhelden, Evergreen Media, Charle and Agenzy all name it. Otterly.AI (Vienna, launched October 2024) is the budget option, used by Webconversion among others. The US-built Profound (Series C at a $1 billion valuation in February 2026) is the enterprise choice and runs a partner directory that, in Europe, lists ClickSlice. Behind them sit Semrush's AI Toolkit, Ahrefs Brand Radar, Rankscale, Similarweb, and a wave of agency-built trackers — Luminr, Share of Model™, BrandAI, s360 LLM Tracker, Bonzai, ucited.ai. When an agency says it has "its own tool", ask whether it is a wrapper on one of the above or something it actually built; both are fine, but they mean different things for portability if you leave.

What GEO costs in Europe in 2026

Fewer than one in five agencies we screened publishes a price. Pulling together the ones that do — UK specialists, German comparison guides, French rankings, Austrian and Baltic price lists — the bands are consistent:

  • One-off AI-visibility audit: €1,500–5,000 (Austria's ithelps sells a €490 quick-check; German guides quote up to €5,000).
  • SMB retainer: €900–5,000 per month (APG Media from €900; Aufgesang minimum €1,000; French agencies €950–2,500; UK specialists £499–4,250).
  • Mid-market programme: €5,000–12,000 per month.
  • Enterprise, multi-market: €8,000–25,000-plus per month (Evergreen Media publishes €60,000–150,000 a year for strategic engagements).
  • Monitoring tools on top: €50–800 per month, unless the agency's tracker is included.

Expect a three- to six-month minimum term and the first measurable movement in the same window. Anyone guaranteeing citations in ChatGPT is guaranteeing something they do not control.

Eight questions to ask before you sign

  1. Which engines, how many prompts, how often — and can we see the prompt set? Serious programmes track 50–200 prompts weekly and report share of voice (responses mentioning you ÷ total responses), citation rate and sentiment.
  2. What tool, and who owns the data? Peec, Profound, Otterly, Semrush, proprietary — any is fine; the dashboard and the prompt history should be yours when you leave.
  3. Show me a case measured in citation share or AI-attributed revenue, not a "visibility score" with no denominator.
  4. How will you earn third-party citations? German and UK studies this year put 85–95% of AI citations on pages the brand does not own; if the plan is all on-site content, it is half a plan.
  5. Is GEO a layer on SEO or a replacement? Sistrix's February 2026 study of 100 million German keywords found e-commerce domains such as Amazon (−1.73%) and Idealo (−0.85%) barely lose clicks to AI Overviews, because Google holds them back on shopping and transactional queries. Anyone selling you out of SEO is selling.
  6. What technical work is included? Organization, Product and FAQ schema; an explicit crawler policy for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended; server-rendered price and availability. Adobe puts retail-site "AI readability" at only 47–63% by category.
  7. How central is llms.txt to the proposal? As hygiene, fine. As the headline deliverable, a red flag: Google's John Mueller said in June 2026 that no AI system actually uses it.
  8. What are the price bands, the minimum term and the exit terms? If they will not say, the agencies above that publish rates give you a benchmark to negotiate against.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between GEO, AEO and AI SEO?

AI SEO is the umbrella. AEO targets direct answers — snippets, People Also Ask, voice, Google AI Overviews — with question-led, extractable content. GEO targets citations and brand mentions inside AI-generated answers on ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot and AI Mode. LLMO is a near-synonym about what models "know" about a brand. Most European agencies sell one bundled service.

How much does a GEO or AEO agency cost in Europe?

Published rates cluster at €1,500–5,000 for an audit, €900–5,000 a month for SMB retainers, €5,000–12,000 for mid-market and €8,000–25,000-plus for enterprise programmes. Only a minority publish; use them as your benchmark.

How long until GEO shows results?

Three to six months for the first measurable signals, tracked as a trajectory over a fixed prompt set rather than a one-off ranking, because every model update moves the answers.

Do I need a GEO agency if I already have an SEO agency?

Not necessarily. If your SEO partner can show prompt-set tracking, entity and schema hygiene, an AI-crawler policy, a digital-PR plan for third-party citations and attribution of AI-referred traffic, you already have one. If it cannot, pick a partner from this list that treats GEO as a layer on SEO, not a replacement.
